Scarecrows in the Gardens

 Fall at the DABG means the arrival of "Scarecrows in the Gardens".  This annual event, sponsored this year by Branch Banking & Trust Co.,
 started in 2005 and has become the most popular attraction at the Gardens drawing large crowds from throughout the area to view the
 creations.

 This event is a scarecrow-building competition open to everyone including families, businesses, organizations and school groups.  There is a
 $20 entry fee and cash prizes are given to the winners in several categories.  Scarecrows are set up in late September and remain throughout
 the month of October.

 All first time 'crow builders are strongly encouraged to attend one of the scarecrow-building workshops held at the Gardens in late August and
 early September.  Dates will be announced and posted on the Events pages of the website.
