Wings of Wonder, a seasonal Butterfly House, opened August 6th 2022 at the Gardens! This 1,800 sq. ft. structure will house approximately 600 native butterflies and will be open to Garden visitors seasonally from April thru October each year. WoW was made possible thanks to a generous gift from William and Carroll Flowers, along with important contributions from Dothan Awning Company, Wiregrass Master Gardeners, Lewis-Smith Supply, Dan Williams, and Mark Shertzer.
Wings of Wonder will be open from 10am-4 pm Sat-Tues and 1pm-4pm Wed-Fri and open for school/group visits from 10am-12pm Wed-Fri. DABG members will receive FREE admission to the Wings of Wonder. There is a $3 entry fee to Wings of Wonder for non-DABG members regardless of age.
In order to enhance your enjoyment of the butterflies, crowd size is controlled by time slot tickets. Tickets may be purchased at the DABG office and may be purchased in advance.
School/group visits for ten or more are available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings by prior request. If not scheduled, large group visits may not be able to be accommodated. Online school/group visit request forms will be added soon.
