Native Azalea Area

Thanks to the generosity of Earnest Koone III, owner of Lazy-K Nursery Garden Delights, LLC.  He has donated nearly 40 native azaleas which will include 3-5 examples of each azalea species native to Alabama.  Watch as our Azalea Garden expands with these beautiful plants.  Many of our existing native azaleas were donated by Mr. Koone 20 years ago!  More About Native Azaleas

Directional Signage

New directional signage to aid visitors as they navigate the Gardens has been erected.  Built by board member Miles Coleman and funded by the Wiregrass Foundation.

New Storage Building

A 30’x40′ steel building has been erected to store our ever increasing collection of Christmas lights and displays needed for Scarecrows in The Gardens, Egg Quest, and other events and activities.  Funds for this project were provided by a bequest from the late Charles Dye, a former DABG volunteer.
